Merry Christmas

Ho dear! Time flies by. What happened to November and most of December? I’m so sorry that I haven’t been adding to my blog. I have had a dreadful winter cold that’s doing the rounds. My dad has been in hospital, he’s hopefully on the mend now. Work has also been frantic to say the least. Thank goodness for the Christmas holidays. I have however been keeping up to date with everyone’s blogs, a constant source of entertainment and joy, thank you all.

Looking back on 2016 I can honestly say it’s been a great year. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed time with family and friends. Days on the allotment have been wonderful and relaxing. Reading all of your blogs has been amusing and fun, what a great bunch of bloggers there are out there.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year, health, wealth and happiness to you all xxxx

I shall leave you with a few of my favourite picture from 2016.

I’m looking forward to 2017, hope you are too.

Bye for now xxx

Where did September go !

Oh dear, I’ve missed a month somewhere! Where did September disappear to? I have been so busy with birthdays, work, our allotment, weekends away and just family life. I’m not complaining, I’ve enjoyed every moment.

I’ve loved following everybody’s blogs and must apologise to everyone I follow for not leaving any comments regarding their wonderful and entertaining blogs.

Yarndale came and went! What an amazing craft event, well done and thank you to everyone who took part in the event xx One year I will go, It’s almost like a pilgrimage for all crafters. Lucy from Attic 24 is a constant inspiration to me and many others, thank you.yarndale_promotional_image

My husband and I have celebrated our birthdays over the last couple of weeks. We had lots of lovely cards and gifts, thanks to everyone x I had lots of lovely pressies, wool, items for the garden and allotment, candles and an embarrassing amount of chocolate, love it, love it, love it xxxxx

My lovely best friend, Sue, gave me a birthday voucher for the Wool Warehouse….. temptation. I have spent an age trawling through their lovely web site. Great to see Heather from Tiny Tin Bird blog on their site, well done Heather. What should I buy? What shall my next project be? A trip to the library was a source of inspiration. Our libraries are fantastic, we need them in our communities, they are so valuable to people and children of all ages. So, armed with a few books, I’m sure I shall find a new project.

Happy Autumn to all the bloggers out there, thank you for all of your wonderful blogs.

Happy Birthday

It’s a week full of birthdays. My brother has his 50th today, lots of love and best wishes to him xxx. My blog is one tomorrow, happy birthday blog. I have enjoyed writing my blog, although sometimes it’s very difficult to find the time, I know I shouldn’t make excuses. My lovely allotment is also one tomorrow, happy birthday, thank you for all the pleasure you bring to me. And a very big thank you to all of the wonderful people who I have met through blogging, you really are a wonderful bunch.

Here are a few snap shots from the past year. Early days on the allotment. Flowers in my garden. Crops from our plot. Crafts I enjoy and days out.

If anyone else is enjoying a birthday this July, have a wonderful time. Bye for now x

Be creative

The weather is starting to turn very Autumnal so it’s time to be creative. My main craft interest is bears, the small furry or fabric type. I’ve been busy making little bears for friends and family. I like to experiment with different fabrics, it’s a real treat to see the end result.
