We deserve a day out

After weeks of hard work on the allotment and in our garden, we decided to have a day out. Matlock bath is always a lovely place to visit and it’s on our doorstep. Rain or shine and even snow, it’s a family favourite. The sun was shining and it was a buzz with visitors. Smells of coffee, cakes, pastries, ice-cream and at lunchtime fish & chips filled the air.  What a delight. Derwent park at the side of the river is a haven of peace and quiet. Fountains, streams and pools of cool spring water end a happy day out.

Just arrived, it's still quiet. Not for long !
